I gave the crocidile stitch another try with some thicker crochet thread. I started with size 10 black. I quickly ran out of that color since the ball was already mostly used up on previous projects. I like the speed this is working up much better. I was going to put it up until I had a chance to get more thread, but I knew it would never get finished if I did that. I had two balls of blue in the same size so I added that in. I feel it gives it a very nice contrast.
